Union Aid Abroad-APHEDA is horrified by recent events in Israel and Palestine. All governments must urgently employ all diplomatic means to de-escalate the violence and initiate urgent peace talks. There must be a ceasefire and humanitarian aid must be allowed into Palestine.
Forty-three people took part in the Big Ride for Palestine this year from September 2-17.
Australia has supported Palestinian non-government organisations for over 40 years. During that time, hundreds of thousands of Palestinians have been helped in job creation, agriculture and food security, health services, income-generating projects for poor women, and more.
The Big Ride for Palestine is happening again from August 13 – 28. This year money raised will be donated to the Palestinian Women’s Humanitarian Organization.
With the support of the Australia Middle East NGO Cooperation Agreement Program – Phase Three (AMENCA 3), APHEDA works with farmers and small businesses on the Gaza Strip to enhance their access to markets and market information as part of the Ghalleh Project.
