Meet Angus McFarland, ASU NSW-ACT Branch Secretary. The child of two teacher unionists, Angus attended his first union strike in a pram in the late 1980s. He’s proud to work every day for justice and fairness at work and in society.
This year is our 40th anniversary and the theme we’re using to commemorate is ‘Building Global Justice and Union Power’. Well done to everyone who joined and upgraded their membership.

Meet Judy Kuo, a talented freelance artist and illustrator based in Melbourne who designed our ’40 years strong’ t-shirt to commemorate our 40th anniversary. “I am deeply inspired by the way APHEDA conducts its work as a collaborator and friend of marginalised and oppressed communities around the world.”
Massimo Calosi is a union member and activist. Recently, he collaborated with Union Aid Abroad-APHEDA to fundraise for the Gaza Emergency Appeal, utilizing his professional skills as a chef. “I felt very grateful and rewarded to be able to put my professional skills into something different than a business.”
