Unions in the Philippines are taking action decisive against sexual harassment in the workplace, and their efforts are paying off. We have an inspiring experience to share from our partner organisation, the National Union of Building and Construction Workers (NUBCW).
Each year, the 4,000 member households of Co-Power come together to democratically decide which climate projects will receive funding. This year, there are 15 project applications in the running, including ours. The final vote, determining the allocation of the $42,500 fund.
Our partner organisation, ALTSEAN-Burma (Alternative ASEAN Network on Burma), through their Women of Burma (WoB) program, is supporting brave women to speak out against the injustices their people are enduring.
At the ACTU Congress 2024 held in Adelaide, delegates from across the country and various unions passed a resolution to advocate for international support for the civil disobedience movement (composed of workers and citizens) in their efforts to restore democracy in Myanmar.
