It’s less than one week until we draw the Union Aid Abroad-APHEDA raffle!
As the international day for workers, May 1 is a fitting time to show your support for global solidarity by buying a raffle ticket. All money raised helps APHEDA’s purpose of building strong unions and social movements through more than 30 projects around the world.
This weekend we’ll be out on the streets with you for May Day to celebrate and defend all the wins of the union movement.
If you haven’t bought tickets yet, now is the time to do so. You can buy them online or over the phone by calling 1800 888 674.
Be like Mike – get your ticket today
Last year’s raffle winner Mike Dobbie said “the hardest thing about winning the Gleebooks voucher was trying to figure out what books to get – it’s a great problem to have.
“If you’re a member of Union Aid Abroad-APHEDA, you already know you’re standing in solidarity with workers around the world. But even better is getting rewarded for your efforts by buying tickets in this year’s raffle. You’ll still help to bring justice and build strong movements in other countries, but you also have a chance at winning one of the great prizes.
“This year, the Gleebooks voucher is back, plus there’s the $4800 electric bike and the $1500 restaurant voucher. Of course, it’s not just the prizes; it’s because each ticket sold does a power of good for our colleagues and change-making projects in other countries. And that’s that a prize-winner right there.”
Can you help us sell some last-minute tickets?
APHEDA activist and ASU organiser Cindy O’Connor has made a video to share her tips on how to sell tickets and why the raffle is such an important fundraiser for us. Watch and share this video on your social media accounts
Every ticket sold makes a difference. In the lead up to the draw on May 5, we’re doing a blitz of May Day events. Can you stand in solidarity with unionists across borders and sell a ticket to someone you know this weekend?
It’s easy.
- Print this poster. Tickets are sold through a QR code so there’s no need to collect cash or fill in a book of tickets.
- Attend a May Day event and ask your union friends and workmates to get a ticket.
- Get that warm glow that comes from knowing you’re helping workers internationally in their struggle for equality and justice.
