In Indonesia, asbestos eradication campaigners supported by Australian unionists and APHEDA are confronting global companies that profit from a deadly toxin. Their fight for safe workplaces and justice for victims has grown into a global movement that is challenging corporate bullies and saving lives.
Here in Australia, unionists are also taking action. When workers at a Lululemon supplier in the Philippines were punished for forming a union, APHEDA activists joined global rallies demanding justice. The pressure worked! The factory reinstated union leaders with full back pay. It was a clear message that when workers stand together, they can win.
