  Vietnam: Strengthening the role of women in political life

  ion Aid Abroad-APHEDA is proud to support women’s leadership in Vietnam to increase women’s participation in political decision-making. This project has made significant strides in empowering women at the commune, district, and provincial levels across three provinces and one city: Haiduong, Bac Kan, Phu Yen and Haiphong.

  Growing political participation of women in Vietnam

  Since 2017, Union Aid Abroad APHEDA has been conducting a project to improve the status of women in Vietnam and strengthen women’s rights to equality through increasing the representation of women in politics. This project has been implemented in three provinces of Haiduong, Phuyen and Bac Kan.

  Enhancing skills and knowledge for women election candidates in Vietnam

  In May 2021, women candidates from Bac Kan, Phu Yen and Hai Duong provinces will run for election to the National Assembly and local legislative bodies at the provincial, district and commune levels.

  Bac Kan Women’s Union with support from Union Aid Abroad-APHEDA are mobilising local communities and local authorities to tackle violence against women.
